| FIRST LETTER IN ATTEMPT TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM | |||||||||||

12/19/2006 This is a letter to address several concerns and to have these
matters resolved. My main concern is the stereo system needs to be fixed
and working to it’s potential. The next concern is the security system
does not monitor the rear doors. Last, I would like to see the invoice
from 8/11/06 because there is an over charge of $219.55 that was charge to
my account on 8/16/06. The stereo system has never properly worked and on at least four
prior occasions I have mentioned the 4 channel amp making static noise and
the amp was never checked and now I have the noise recorded for your
convenience. It makes this noise 90% of the time whether I am listening to
music or not. I do believe the amp has been malfunctioning since the
beginning and that it has never been properly adjusted to play all range
of sounds in music. I know that this amp has blown all of the speakers
that were in the truck when it was first installed and now the front
speakers in the doors and possibly the tweeters are blown. I would like
for the rear door speakers and the woofer examined for damage and replaced
if damage exists as well as the front speakers. The security system does not monitor the doors of my truck leaving
my truck and valuables vulnerable to being stolen. When your technicians
installed the same alarm system in my previous truck, it did monitor all
four doors. On 8/11/06 I came by your establishment and purchased a 2 channel
amp and made an appointment for the 21st of August to have all
of my equipment that I had previously purchased from your company
including the amp I purchased on the 16th to be professionally
installed. I was told at that time the 2 channel amp was $160.45. I have
since checked my bank records and I was charged $380.00 instead of the
$160.45. It was not until the 22nd that your technician called
and suggested I upgrade from a 2 channel to a 4 channel amp and that it
was an additional $50.00. In which I paid on another invoice. I have spent approximately $1300 dollars for the stereo equipment
and for a professional installation and at this point the equipment is not
in good working order because of the faulty amp that has damaged the
speakers. The security systems was not professionally installed properly
to prevent theft has it is supposed to do. The days, an hours of
frustration that this has caused is getting ridiculous and I would only
like, no more, than for it to be resolved and to get to enjoy my purchase. Thank you for your time and effort on following through on
completing the installation and replacing all of the defected equipment in
my truck to a properly working condition. I also appreciate you checking
into the discrepancy of the bank charge. These actions on your part will
restore my confidence in your business practices and stop any further
actions on my part. Sincerely, Durenda Wood His response to this letter was to blame the stereo, ignoring the noise coming from the amp. Promising me if I bought the stereo or a gadget called "Clean Sweep" that he would replace any of the equipment that I thought was damaged. Out of desperation I agreed to purchase the stereo (which to me was a big down size when it came to quality and specifications it offered). The day came the work was to be done and he refused to replace anything that was damaged. He finally replace the front speakers after having to get in an dispute with him. |
